When his wife Eva started attending boot camp but wasn’t satisfied, Elias encouraged her to try TMR and ended up joining as well. After a year, Elias has proven to us that age is not a factor when it comes to getting in a great workout and seeing results.

Hi everyone. My journey with the Motion Room started in November of 2013. My wife Eva was attending another boot camp for a while but she was not very happy there so I urged her to try The Motion Room which I found out through Groupon that it was not too far from us. She was hesitant to join but I convinced her to join via a Groupon since the commitment was almost risk free. She agreed and was excited about it right from the beginning. A couple of weeks later based on her recommendation I joined as well. I was enthused with the different activities and was really impressed with the staff. Not only I found them to be knowledgeable and helpful but very courteous and friendly. After a few sessions I was sure that the Motion Room was what I needed that I decided to pre-purchase several months worth of credits.
I am getting on in age and even though I eat healthy, (being of Greek descent I follow the Mediterranean diet), what I was interested in was not to loose weight, (may be a few pounds here and there), but get fit and improve my quality of life. Even though I am a member of the over 60 club I believe that it is never too late to get fit. Anyway, I started with two sessions per week and my first class was Cardio- ab-use. Boy it was tough. Emanuele “put us through the ringer”. I really felt that I was ab-using my body. After several classes though I felt content that I was able to “almost” keep up with the younger folks in the classes. A few weeks later I increased my sessions to three and then to four sessions per week and sometimes five. I tried all four types of sessions and I like them all. Every type has its own merits. With Cardio-ab-use I build my abs and endurance, with Athlete Ready I build co-ordination (and have lot’s of fun with Jamie as the instructor), with Classic I get an overall exercise, and with Rejuvenation I give my muscles a rest. The Wednesday classes are also tough but lot’s of fun with Tyson at the helm.
Both my wife and I attend the 6:00 a.m. sessions and since the classes are attended by the same folks on a regular basis after a few sessions we developed certain camaraderie with the other participants. So now more than ever not only we get a great workout but we are also having fun. This is a great way to ignore the pain and keep going especially during the cardio sessions when you feel all your energy has drained out. The comments and encouragement from the other folks and Emanuele keep us going.
So it has been over a year now and I have not felt like this since my younger days. My energy levels are high, my level of concentration has improved and the stiff back that I periodically had is no longer there. The exercising has been very beneficial to my well being. My 25 year old son though tells me that I am too meager and that I need to build some more muscle. In December 2014 my evaluation indicated that I had gained three pounds of muscle over a six month period, but I still have a way to go.
Overall joining The Motion Room has been very beneficial to me and I look forward to getting up at 5:30 in the morning to go exercising at The Motion Room. I recommend it to everyone. It’s a life changer.
