TMR Member Spotlight Feature!

Alyssa came to TMR in March of 2013 after much convincing. Who knew she would become one of our most dedicated and hard working members? 

Alyssa’s Member Spotlight Story:

On January 1st, 2012 (whoa, time flies) I made a New Year’s resolution to not only lose weight but to become a healthier, happier, and stronger person all around. I started training with Jamie Hatfield, for about a year, before he ended up taking on a new and amazing position at The Motion Room and convinced me to come along with him (it really took some convincing).

Alyssa NewellThe first time I walked into The Motion Room in March 2013 and watched a Re-Energizer Bootcamp class, saw the PCT sessions in progress, met all of the trainers and was introduced to a new (and much tougher) work out regime, I’m not going to lie…it scared the crap out of me. I thought I’d never be able to lift weights like that, do more than two burpee’s in a row, or not pass out after one half of a bootcamp (wait, we have to do this TWICE?!)…

Now, less than a year later, I can proudly say that I can do all of those things and more. TMR has pushed me beyond my boundaries in the best way possible and all of their fantastic trainers were right there with me, with the proper technique instruction and constant motivation, every step of the way.

 

 

I’ve changed my eating habits, I’ve invested in an actual pair of running shoes, I drink way more water than anyone else I know, I fill my fridge full of clean food, and I’m proud to say I’ve gone from 195 lbs to 140 lbs (with muscle and tone!)*. YAY! Couldn’t have accomplished any of it without TMR…even if this journey scares the crap out of me sometimes, it’s SO worth it. THANK YOU, TMR!

Way to go Alyssa! Your physical transformation has been incredible, but we are even more excited about your internal transformation. Keep up the great work!
